Sciulverine

The sciulverine is one of the largest squirrers, a clade of superficially squirrel-like eutriconodonts with a taste for dinosaur meat. Growing to the size of a small leopard, a sciulverine's long tail and stout limbs allow it to coexist comfortably with the equally-formidable direlunches- a direlunch is fleet enough to catch prey that a squirrer would be unable to keep up with, while the quadrupedality and more flexible tail of a squirrer let it twist and lunge at prey that a direlunch would be hard-pressed to keep track of.
